Affiliate FAQ

Detailed questions about commissions, renewals, referrals and payouts.

These answers describe the WPMailDesk affiliate structure. Operational rules can be adjusted before launch.

How is the 30% affiliate commission divided?

The total commission allocation for a qualifying order is 30%. It is divided across three referral levels: Level 1 receives 20%, Level 2 receives 7%, and Level 3 receives 3%.

Who is considered Level 1?

Level 1 is the affiliate whose referral link directly leads to the qualifying customer purchase.

Who receives the Level 2 commission?

Level 2 is the affiliate who originally referred the Level 1 affiliate into the WPMailDesk affiliate program.

Who receives the Level 3 commission?

Level 3 is one additional upline level above Level 2.

What happens if only one or two referral levels exist?

The system should pay only the valid levels that actually exist in the referral chain unless a different rule is configured.

Do affiliates earn commission on annual renewals?

Yes. When an eligible referred customer successfully pays for an annual renewal, the valid referral chain can earn again using the same level rates.

How long can renewal commissions continue?

Renewal commissions can continue while the customer keeps an eligible yearly subscription active, payment succeeds, and the affiliate relationship remains valid under the program rules.

What happens if a customer upgrades or changes packages?

Commission can be calculated from the actual commissionable amount paid for an eligible upgrade or renewal.

What happens when an order is refunded or cancelled?

Commission linked to a refunded, cancelled, chargeback, or fraudulent order should be cancelled or reversed.

When does a commission become approved?

A commission can first appear as Pending after payment and move to Approved after the configured holding period if the order remains valid.

Is there a minimum payout amount?

Yes, if configured. The current example is PKR 5,000 and can be changed in Theme Settings.

How often are affiliate payouts made?

The proposed model supports scheduled payouts such as monthly payouts plus a manual payout-request process.

Can affiliates see which level generated each commission?

Yes. A connected affiliate system can show the order, referral level, rate, amount, status, sale or renewal type, and date.

Can an affiliate earn just by recruiting another affiliate?

No. Recruiting another affiliate by itself should not create a commission. Commission is generated by qualifying product sales or eligible renewals.

Are self-referrals allowed?

The recommended policy is to block self-referrals and review suspicious matching account or billing data.

What happens if referral tracking information is missing?

Commission should be credited only when the customer can be reliably linked to the affiliate through an approved attribution method.

Can commission percentages be changed later?

Yes. Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 percentages are editable from WPMailDesk Theme Settings.

Will affiliates be able to view their referral network?

A connected affiliate system can show the referral network by Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 while limiting sensitive customer data.
